Lice / Mites & Worms

These horrible little creatures are tiny parasites that can infest the skin of a bird and cause it lots of distress by intense itching. Mites are closely related to spiders - hence they look a little like a minature one. The articles below will shed a bit more light on this topic and offer some cures to an infestation.

Viral Diseases

Viral disease is just a general term for any disease which is produced by a virus. Many are fairly easy to cure, although some can be fatal. Newcastle disease, avian flu, duck hepatitis etc are all examples of a viral disease. I hope to add more information ona whole range of topics in the section below very soon.
