These breeding trios come from Gordon
Reeves of Taree - each one has a small description of what the
expected outcome will be.

|
Buff Columbian:
This trio has been put together headed by an under-coloured
buff columbian male with minimal striping in the neck hackle.
The females are of three different shades of buff.
The difference with these females is that they have been
proven to carry the wheaten gene so the mating to a striped
necked columbian may have the chance to produce a wheaten
female.
The lighter female in this pen is the product of a wheaten
female that has produced wheatens with the blue tails and
also blue buff columbian offspring.

|
Cuckoo:
The trio to the left is headed by the required “light"
barred cuckoo male combined with a pair of Black pekin hens.
This combination should produce all cuckoos close to the
desired shade required for exhibition
Readers will notice the very distinct barring to the ground
on the front of the male. These lighter barred males tend
to exhibit a high degree of clarity between the french grey
and the barring.

|
Birchen:
Exceptionally well coloured trio of mated birchin (sporting
a good crop of feed at this picture!)
Female is probably a little over coloured however this
female should produce well coloured males.
You will note the clarity of silver in the hackles of both
the male and female. The lacing on the chest of the male
is of a particularly high quality with regard to clarity
and fineness of the lacing which is illustrated further
in the close up shot below
